Is ACT this easy?

I saw the ACT for the first time today and took a practice was just like whoa--ridiculously easy compared to the SATs which I'm not that great at. Is it just me or do you guys agree?

act = stupid easy test

Yeah it's easier but you're pressed for time more. Like if it was just my english, reading, and math combined i have a 33 but that dumb science portion is gay.

What's the curve for the ACT? Like how many can you get wrong in each section and get a 34+ on that section?

The thing to remember about the ACT: you can skim the readings and get the right answer.

The SAT tries to trick you in a way with their "Joe Bloggs" answers, but the ACT doesn't do that. While you are pressed for time, practice going through the questions at a faster pace than you would on the SAT and you'll do fine. Also, there is no "guessing penalty" so you can guess randomly on the last few questions in a section without hurting your score.

The curve is pretty harsh though, to get a 34+ on each section you can only miss 2 or 3

ACT plays to a certain type of tester's strengths, just like the SAT plays to another type of tester's strengths. If the ACT were that easy, everyone would have 34+, no?

After you take the ACTs the SATs time restraints seem never ending. I think that the ACTs use the lack of time to pressure the student. Also, the science is brutal because of time but fairly easy if really thought about.

and I too have a much higher score without the science portion....

Hey, I got a 35 on the science...but I couldn't finish the math in time and got a 27.

Your best bet is to take a couple practice tests. Time really is the only thing keeping most people from the score they want.
