I took it four times.i think if i retake it i can get a better school. i want to get into GPPA in UIC but i need a 33 for pre dental. but if i take it the 5th time and not get it i dont want to be not accepted to anywhere else because i took it 5 times…

please help

As long as you only sent the score you want, it’s the only one they’ll see. But some schools want you to send everything.

GPPA just requires an ACT of 28. You are probably talking about the average ACT score for that program.

Unlike the SAT, you can choose to send only one of your ACT scores. Not all of them are sent automatically.

^

You are completely incorrect. As of this year, SAT has re-instituted Score Choice, which is the system the ACT used.

You can send the best scores and hide others if you choose so.

Although this does not constitute an official ACT report, my D’s high school includes all ACT/SAT scores on the back of the transcripts they send to the colleges. This is included with class rank, volunteer hours, etc. When registering for the ACT, note that you do not have to send the results to your high school. If you choose to do this at a later date, it is $8. Many students were not aware of this practice at our high school and did not know that colleges were seeing all of their scores.

I stand corrected. When I applied (last fall), everyone said all your scores got sent. I didn’t take any SATs so it didn’t matter to me.

i heard that all the ACT scores go in… i dont have a choice

it depends on the school… i would look it up under the admissions page for the schools that you are interested in… some request them all and then they pick the highest while others let you send in your higest

When you register for the ACT it is your choice if you send the scores to your high school or to any other institutions. If you do not utilize the free reports at that time, you can pay $8 to have ONLY the scores you want to send to the colleges…
