This is my first time taking the SAT as a freshman and I got 1870, is this a good score? Do you think I can get a 2200+ if I take 1-2 SATs each year in high school? I also got a 26 on the ACT, so I obviously do better on the SAT, should I try to improve on both or just neglect the ACT and put all my focus on the SAT? Which test suits you better and why? On which test did you improve more? By the way, I have a 3.95 GPA, many ECs, and aiming for Ivy League colleges, do I have a chance of getting in if I get 2200+ on the SAT?

That’s a pretty good score for a freshman, depending on what classes you’ve had. But DO NOT take the SAT 2 times every year; this will not look good to colleges. Take it a maximum of 3 times.

Great job! You are definitely capable of hitting 2200 by junior year. I had a 165 PSAT (equal to a 1650 on SAT scale) in sophomore year, and just hit 2070 this June as a junior by doing a little studying for 2 weeks. I’m going to retake in October for for a 2200, which shouldn’t be too difficult because I have all summer to study.
ALSO, like the post above mentioned, you CANNOT take the SAT that many times. Colleges like to see no more than 3 attempts. Work with practice tests from the blue book, and save your last two attempts at the SAT for junior year after you’ve done a fair amount of studying.

That’s a great score for a freshman, and you have definitley have plenty of time to improve! Congrats
