<p>I would consider retaking it, and doing some SAT prep if you haven’t already. (Doing the practice tests in prep books, like the collegeboard’s SAT prep book, will most likely rise your score.)</p>
<p>I’d do some prep and retake it. Realistically, and with enough prep, you could probably increase all three of those scores to at least the 600 range, giving you around an 1800. An 1800 looks 10 times better (and probably more than that) than a 1310.</p>
<p>Yeah, just look at some practice books and I bet you can get your score up to 1500+.</p>

<p>i’m sorry to be blunt, but most colleges wont accept that score. Maybe you should go to community college (in all seriousness) so you can experience how college classes are like, and then if you feel prepared, you can transfer out into state.</p>

<p>“Acceptable” depends on what you’re going for. By the looks of it, those scores will make it difficult to get into college. The average composite score is somewhere near 1550, I think, and most colleges will want something at least a bit above that. If you intend to go to college, you should probably retake it. Having taken it once and prepared some more, you could easily raise each of those scores into the 550-600+ range, which will look a good deal better on an application. Of course, you’ll have to consider extracurriculars, GPA, secondary school rigor, recommendation letters, and the essay too.</p>

<p>At my local community college, if you don’t have at least a 500 in an SAT section you need to take a remedial class to catch up. You would be stuck in all remedial classes at my community college.</p>

<p>Not saying that this is your scenario, but I have a friend who tried his hardest and scored a 1890 on his SAT 1. He didn’t even get accepted to UC Riverside. He now attends a local community college.</p>
<p>I would recommend either working your ass up to get to above a 1700 or taking classes at a community college to get the “college feel”. </p>
<p>The college you want to attend should also be a major factor in your decision.</p>
