Stevia is a plant, so presumably some people would have allergic reactions to it.

Best advice would probably be to stick to the real things, but in moderation.

Not sure. I don’t like the taste of artificial sweeteners, so I use sugar or agave nectar when I drink coffee or tea.

Don’t know.

This doesn’t sound good.

Try to get away from the habit of consuming lots of sweets, especially sweet liquids.

I use about 1, maybe 1.5, packet a day of sweet & low spread across numerous cups of hot beverages and I actually like the slightly bitter sweet taste versus real sugar. It just seems like a bad habit and I feel like I should do better than that, but don’t really want to go with sugar.

artificial sugars are some of the safest products with a very long history on the markets, as far as consumables go. the scaremongering comes from ‘studies’ that don’t separate out confounding factors such as; soda drinking is coupled with poor dietary habits, excess fast food consumption, sedentary lifestyles, etc.

Sorry, I’m am so not a scaremonger but have witnessed my own daughter and five of her friends over the last 3 years experience severe and debilitating pain. Emergency Room pain doctors thinking appendicitis attacks. When each of them took aspartame and sucralose out of their diets—big surprise, no more pain. No more soreness, no more stabbing, doubled-over and can’t stand up crying from pain. It’s in everything, health drinks, energy drinks even yogurt.
Lindsey Vonn, guess what’s in RedBull, her symptoms and severe pain which couldn’t be explained by any of the doctors. She was hospitalized for days and they ran every test they could think of and couldn’t figure it out.
Not being a scaremonger, but guess who was behind all those ‘great tests’? Guess who pushed aspartame through the system? Trustworthy Donald Rumsfeld (then Searle’s CEO) who made hundreds of millions on the product.
