I was wondering when the deadline was since I see people getting their acceptances now. I’m a senior and I’m kind of worried so does anyone know if its better to submit now or later?
Do you mean LECOM - the DO assurance?
Best to ask them but @momsearcheng student is at Rhodes and is in the program. And she wrote back on your other feed.
Deadline to submit?
The earlier the better since there are limited number of spots.
Oh alright I thought it was Nov 1st. I’m thinking of applying by November 5th do you think that’s a good idea?
@momsearcheng can clarify, but your issue is that the partner schools have a limited number of spots. You MUST get accepted to a undergrad partner school and LECOM.
I would suggest you get your applications done as soon as you can get them done.
If you are interested it’s a good idea. Get them asap. But ensure quality.
Alright thank you I’m applying to FDU for the program anyway. I will probably submit by Monday since I have other colleges supps to do.
If you are interested in LECOM EAP, I would recommend applying to several affiliated colleges. Because, if you apply to one only and spots are filled in at that college by the time you are accepted, you won’t be able to proceed despite LECOM acceptance. LECOM application will ask you for your top 3 college choices, but you can apply to more than 3 affiliates and then pick.
Yeah I indicated FDU but I think that’s the only thing I did. How can I fix that
You do not have to fix that. Just apply to several LECOM affiliated colleges to have a choice later if LECOM accepts you.
Good luck! You still have plenty of time.
Alright thank you, I’ll start working on that tomorrow since I have Thursday and Friday off.
Not sure about plenty of time, since when DD applied in November desicion came so late in April, that she almost selected another option. If LECOM comes late with decision due to whatever reason, you have to commit to something by May 1st without knowing LECOM results. I am not sure what is LECOM current turn around time.
Alright understood. I’m still going to try regardless, but Im probably going to Rutgers anyway.
Up to 60 days once everything is submitted. I have not heard of a backup with info sessions scheduling or LECOM’s response time. There are people that hear back in a week (though less common).
So, yes, there is still plenty of time, but my advice would be to apply rather sooner than later - because procrastination does not have any benefits.
Alright, thank you. I will apply by Monday probably.
Good luck!
