We hope…

Is that just a general “we hope…” or is there some reason to think something will come out? I am so happy Cadel won, I think he really deserved this one. I’ll root for Frandy next year.

The paper reports that the all-time record (for age) was set by 36-yr old Firmin Lambot of Belgium – in 1922.

I’ll be rooting for Frandy too.
The brothers look almost identical on the winners’ platform - same smile. I know they aren’t twins, but does anyone know the age difference?

Frank is 5 years older than Andy.

We were rooting for Andy in our house (DW has an irrational hatred of Contador for some reason), but until he ups his time-trial game it is going to be very difficult for him to win.

Very true, nre. But I hope that Andy can do it!

Very happy for Cadel Evans and Australia.

Just a general hope, given the after-the-fact revelations of recent years. I think Cadel deserved it too. We loved how moved he was at the podium. Sweet guy! :)

It took me a minute to figure out who “Frandy” is lol. But yes, I’m a Frandy fan going forward too. They’ll be around for a long time, and will wear alot of yellow jerseys if they can conquer the time trial.

Voeckler had a superb tour as well. Very impressive display.

I remember back when Lance was riding, Voeckler got the yellow jersey one day, and he kept it for longer than everyone thought. Similar story this year. He has a lot of fight in him.
