huh, thats kind of smart of them. haha:)

Arrg… It was so hard at the end. I pulled it off because I kept thinking of applying to college in a few years, but I certainly didn’t put in any more then I needed to say above a 93% to avoid the risk of an A-. I waited until May to tell my friends I was going to a boarding school, I think that also helped keep me motivated since I didn’t want them to guess something was going on.

What I did completely drop was extracurricular activities. I kept up with horseback riding because I really enjoy it, but things like dance I just dropped.

I continued having straight A’s, but I did go from a 109% down to a 102%. I wanna say the teacher hated me but I got cocky and thought I didn’t have to try as much…

how do you get 109% in a class?

Okay, that’s just being a boastful prick. Honestly. squash13, don’t pay attention to the ■■■■■.

I got pretty much straight A’s, a couple A-'s because I had horse competitions and wasn’t in school for like all of May… My school isn’t very hard though. And I was really scared about rescinded admission

I’ve kept straight As
97.3% average. And I have a life
no offense to Gabiiwoz.

You can get rescinded from a boarding school for 1 A-???

Yikes I guess I shouldn’t apply to any next year.

My art teacher is really mean and I always have Art 4th quarter. I got a B+ this year and I might squeak by with an A- next year because of a different teacher. I find it unfair that one A minus…which is an ABOVE AVERAGE grade can get your rescinded! Some schools don’t even have an A-!

no, an A- will not get your admission rescinded. that’s preposterous… it’s a possiblity if your grades drop to all Cs or a few Ds, etc. if you keep even straight Bs, i’m sure you’ll be fine

Can I apply with a few A-'s on my record and a 1940 SAT score? I’m white, not Asian BTW. I might be able to bump up the 1940 to a 2100 if I don’t make careless mistakes on math(got 710, 4 wrong) and get better at CR.

Do they look at quarterly or semester grades? I have like an ‘A’ average for everything except 1 ‘A-’ in 6th grade if it’s semester but quarterly I have several A-'s. Also, could I pool my Art and Music grades?(Both are quarterly required classes). I get like 102 in Art but 89 in Gym, which is an “A” average for the semester. Do they average them or take them separate?

Does an “A-” kill you? Am I screwed for any chances?

You’ll be fine, mathcountster. Try not to worry too much.

@mathcounter, Is that a joke???
