Is AP Music Theory worth taking to fulfill requirement, easy to self study and can it help to DJ?

I’m looking into schools and what AP courses can fulfill their requirements. Unfortuately, there is one part of a requirement that I do not have any idea what to take for none relate to my major of business and none interest me either. Therefore, if I can get a requirement done with an AP course it would be helpful. AP Music Theory does fulfill that requirement, despite the fact it has nothing to do with my major.
Is it an easy subject, specifically to self study/ self teach?
Also, what exactly does it teach you? I’m very into electronic music (EDM), and enjoy mixing music/djing and ultimately am looking into producing one day, so if it covers music production (regardless of what type) I am interested. Or does it cover historical musical greats such as Mozart and Beethoven and their songs and accomplishments. Thanks!

AP Music theory is completely classical and very difficult. There is ear training, chord identification, and part writing. This is not something you would be interested in as an EDM person. It is not something to be self studied, unless there is a private teacher that can help you with aural skills.
