Is applying for specific programs more selective than geneal college?

Hey guys,

I’m was wondering if it was the Upenn programs (interested in Vagelos Integrated Program in Energy Research (VIPER),The Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management,The Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business,The Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology) are more selective than just applying to the CAS program. Also is Wharton more selective than say, the CAS?

Thanks !

I think it may be slightly more selective but these programs will also look for “fit”.

does the selectivity vary from program to program though? I’ve heard that the Jerome Fisher is SUPERSELECTIVE…T_T

I think something like 55 students are accepted into the M&T program, so yea, it’s very selective. Also Wharton is more selective than CAS, I heard it has something like a 9% acceptance rate.
