Is applying mid April to a rolling admissions school too late? Deadline is in August

This really depends on the school. Call admissions and ask.

That’s why they call it rolling. If they are full, they’ll tell you that, but it’s also possible they’d admit you for Jan. Worth the shot.

IMHO it is worth either calling admissions or just applying.

The deadline is August 1st and they said spots are still open…super late deadline

Transfer admission cut off dates are not the same as freshman admission dates. Lots of big state universities will take transfer applications well into the summer even when they have a suggested apply-by date. So don’t worry that your target university is already “full”. File your application.

However, it is possible that popular majors can get filled up earlier than the school gets filled up.
