Is applying to Ivies, Stanford still worth it with these scores?

Hi! I am an international applicant from Italy. Today I received my SAT Subject Tests scores, and I was wondering if some Ivies and Stanford are still worth applying to.

SAT 2290 (780 CR, 720 M, 790 W, 9 essay)
TOEFL 114/120
SAT 2: Math 2: 720, World History 710

Is applying to Brown, Upenn, Harvard, Yale, Amherst and Stanford still worth it with these low stats (especially the subject tests)? I can retake Math in January but only Harvard, Yale and Upenn accept Jan scores. Also note that I will apply for financial aid.

Since when is 2290 considered a “low score?”

Your scores are fine, especially for someone taking a test in a foreign language. (I assume?) Your chances are low, because they are low for everyone, but good luck.

Hi man, i’m also from italy but i’m in my junior year (4° superiore), what are your grades? I’m considering us universities

I am not saying that 2290 is bad. It is however definitely lower than the average of the top 25% of applicants to HYPMS. “Not so bad, not so good”

You have a chance. Your scores are unlikely to be the reason you’re not admitted (if, indeed, that is the result).
