I’m an international student interested in Chemical Engineering. I have got high SAT1 and SAT chem and math level 2 scores. I’m planning to take the APs next May and I meet the English proficiency requirements. Am I still able to apply and do I have a chance??

Ruby, not sure. The deadline is Feb 1 for international student for Fall 2011. But should try to call the admission office and ask. Goto this website for international students.
[Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](Steps to Apply for International Students - Undergraduate Admissions) You never know…if you have excellent GPA and high SAT score…they may allow. Make sure you to let them know you grades/achievements/SAT score etc during the call.

Thanks Eric. I checked the university’s profile in the College Board website, it has very useful information. It says that there is no closing date for the applications. I guess that’s good news…

good ! They hv an application deadline… but admission is on a rolling basis…so you can apply anytime… It just put you at a somewhat disadv position as admission offer has been sent out to most applicants by April 1. The college board website is not the offical university website…so the best is contact the university admission first to understand the admission situation for Chem E. Penn State has a very good & competitive Engr school…lots of applicants. If the Fall term is full, they may offer you admission on the Spring term.
