Is Baruch a joke of an undergradute degree?

After reading around the forums, some say Baruch is a joke, others say it's the best because of the cost and the alumni.

My goal is to get a job and get into a top MBA school (Well, mostly Columbia), and I was wondering if getting a degree at Baruch in Finance would hurt my chances?

My freshman GPA was 3.8. I recently got admitted to Baruch Honors, and I am hoping to reach a 4.0 this semester.

After HS, Baruch was the only decent place I could attend because of my poor HS GPA and 1130 SATs (480 reading 650 math).

What do you guys recommend I should do? Stay at Baruch Honors? Or transfer elsewhere for my undergraduate?

Don't worry about what others say.

If you find you are being adequately challenged both socially and academically then I would say stick with it and have fun.

Contact Columbia Business School to find out how many they have admitted from Baruch in the last 5 years. This will give you an idea. Baruch should be able to let you know in which MBA programs graduates matriculated. Be sure to get numbers that show actual matriculation and frequency of matriculation.
And Japher's advice is good.

assuming you have a decent GPA from Baruch, your full time work experience, and the essays you write about it, along with your professional recommendations are going to be far far more important when you apply to Columbia than the fact that you went to Baruch. get yourself a good job, work hard for at least two-three years, make sure there is progression in your career (promotions), and that you develop strong connections with the people there. then study for and take the GMAT in the spring, and you'll be set to get into any b-school you want.
