Is BC worth it?

5 days left until deposits are due…
Currently I am stumped between BC and Tulane. I have to pay sticker price for CSoM at BC, but I got 24k/year and honors at Tulane. My question is that if BC is worth it? Does BC have any distinct advantages academically, job placement, reputation wise etc. for the addition 100k. My parents are willing to pay for BC but I don’t want to burden them or myself financially.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks in advance.

Overall, BC is a far better academic school than Tulane. Why do you think that Tulane offered you so much merit aid and honors? Now, for you this could mean two things. If you want to go to the best academic school to which you were admitted, go to BC. If you want to be a big fish in a small pond-then go with Tulane.

With regard to CSOM. Boston is one of the financial capitals of the country so internships abound, and internships lead to top jobs. I would hedge a bet that if you intern correctly and take challenging classes with connected professors-your job placement out of CSOM will be stellar.

Of course, if you are interested in city planning and development…the current situation in New Orleans might fit your needs best.
