Is being a LEDA finalist as good as getting in

<p>Given that, according to their website, about 25% of LEDA scholars have gone to Ivy League schools, and about 75% have gone to “most competitive” schools" (Ivy plus 50 or so), I would guess that not quite being a LEDA scholar is nowhere near “as good as getting in” to Cornell or any other highly selective place. The factors that got you into the final round with LEDA will make you attractive to all sorts of colleges. But if I were you I would worry a bit about why your LEDA application fell short, and try to make certain I was improving a lot before college application time happens.</p>
