is being the only economics major in my entire grade a hook?

<p>i’m literally the only freshman economics major at my school
and i’m transferring.</p>

<p>i’m definitely mentioning this on applications because there aren’t many resources (there are only 10 economic courses offered) and i don’t like the curriculum (stats is the only required math, and grad school prefer students taking majority math). </p>

<p>in the entire school there are only 2 other econ majors, me being the third.</p>

<p>so can this be a hook?
as popular as the major is at other schools, idk how much it will help me. what do you think?</p>

<p>You can mention this and make it a focal point in your “Why Transfer” essay but I wouldn’t consider this a hook.</p>

<p>Not a hook. Economics might not be a popular major at your school but there are lots of them elsewhere.</p>
