Is Berkeley even a good school?

<p>Ok so I’m ****ed because I didn’t get into MIT. But is it even worth going to Berkeley to visit? I got into Cal Tech so that’s where I’m leaning toward. But all the smart kids either go to MIT or Cal Tech. The engineering students at Berkeley are stupid cause they couldn’t get into MIT or Cal Tech. If I went to Berkeley I wouldn’t learn anything because I would be smarter than all of my professors already cause they don’t impress me either. And I don’t know if I could put myself through four years with stupid classmates who couldn’t even get into MIT.</p>

<p>Going to Berkeley and I just got accepted to MIT. I guess I’m looking for atmosphere in addition to quality of education, though. I’m pretty liberal and not-so-cutthroat haha</p>

<p>Berkeley is a excellent school for engineering, but Caltech is exceptional. Unless money is an issue, go to Caltech.</p>

<p>I thought you were either a ■■■■■ or a jokester when I just read your post. And that isn’t necessarily true about students at Cal not getting accepted to MIT or Cal Tech. Many of them are Stanford rejects…</p>
