is berkely ask me to take SAT 2

hello
i am international student
in transfer admission, is berkely aske me to take sat and sat math?
what about stanford and caltech also?

thanks

Berkeley doesn’t care about SAT scores for international students trying to transfer to Berkeley from a community college, to the best of my knowledge. I don’t know about Stanford or Caltech, though.

I mean SAT SUBJECT , I am very thinking about what CC are give me chance to top 10. I don’t care about money. I choosed to study English in Boston there is a community college here in boston and some people transfered to MIT. my paln is sfter I take TOFEL I’ll tray to takr admission at MIT if dosn’t, I’ll enroll to community college in Boston then transfer to MIT, Berkely, Carnegie, Caltech, Cornell and Stanford. a month ago I saw Berkely agreement with CCs now I am thinking to move from Boston to Calefornia to enroll to Santa Monica community college becouse in Calefornia I’ve more chance than Boston with CC, Are you agree with me?
do you think is better Idea to move to CA to study in CC and transfer to berkely? or stay in boston transfer to MIT or Berkey or top 10 ?

thanks

You definitely have a better chance of transferring to Berkeley if you live in California. For the SAT subject test: Berkeley doesn’t care about it if you’re a transfer student.

If you’re willing and able to move to California and want to go to Santa Monica College and transfer from there to Berkeley, then you should do it.

I’ll tray to move to california and enroll to santa monica CC. what is the best CC in California that has more chance to transfer to berkeley?

There is no best CC to transfer to Berkeley.

If you’re set on attending Berkeley, which it doesn’t sound like you are – it simply sounds like you want to attend any top school, it might help you in the future to attend a CC close to Berkeley to have the experience of living in that area. Attending a CC near Berkeley doesn’t mean you’re more likely to be admitted to Berkeley. In terms of your application the name of the CC you attended isn’t going to change anything.

yes, its good idea to stay nesr berkeley, do you now best CC near berkeley ? I say best to best quality! I think santa monica near to berkely and UCLA.

An adviser at my orientation admitted that CC around Berkeley carry a lot of classes that you cannot get anywhere else and are transferable to UCB.

Santa Monica College is close to UCLA, it’s very far from Berkeley. It’s over 300 miles from Berkeley to Santa Monica college. That’s farther than the distance between New York and Boston.

The closest community colleges to Berkeley are: Berkeley City College, Laney College, College of Alameda, and Merritt College.
I’m sure any of them will serve you fine for transferring to Berkeley.
