I am set on becoming a pediatric oncologist (or some such subspecialty), an equine veterinarian, or a genetic/pathology researcher. Anytime my classes start to focus on genetics, anatomy, or physiology, I am enthralled all day. Working with animals is something that I am very good at because of my personality. My favorite class is chemistry, and I’m going on my third year of it. I’m not sure about biochem as my major; I want to focus on in-depth info about cells, etc., but I don’t want to completely walk away from the macroorganisms, either. Those who have experience with that major, will you please sound off for me?:)

I want to do biochem as my major.

I plan on either:
education
pediatrician (I can’t spell it, though. How sad…)
pharmacy
or radiology
or be a researcher somewhere

I am planning on pursuing a b.sc. in chem. with specialization in biochemistry at UVA. I am really hoping that it will give me a “general” scientific education(combining two disciplines), that’s what i am hoping. BTW i am considering med school after graduation…anyone else have a similar situation?

ahhahaha…HIJACKERS!
actually I just wanted to get some more feedback
