title says it all

At my school, we have a really great bio teacher, notoriously tough but the kids know the curriculum well. In the regular intro bio class freshman year, the kids who take it normally get between a 700-730. In the AP class, the kids normally get 780-800. I’d say that if you’re taking AP, go for it. If you’re looking in the 4/5 range of the AP, you should do well.

Its not too bad. I had AP Bio before I took it, but our teacher was terrible and we learned next to nothing, so I really just studied all the topics on my own. From my experience, a decent amount of self-studying before the test will put you in the 740+ range. The only thing that I don’t like about it is the small curve. The other exams that I took, Lit and US hist, are much easier to score 800’s on.

The way I see it, Bio is a hard test if you havn’t taken AP bio (you’ve only taken a 1 year high school bio course). If you’ve taken AP bio, it becomes your average SAT subject test (still not easy, though).
