Is BU's education really worth it?

For the natural sciences and for a person living in CA, is it worth traveling across the country for a liberal arts education, or will a college like UCSC, which emphasizes a similar liberal arts curriculum do just fine? Also:
Would it hurt my chances greatly when applying to grad school?

Thank you for your advice

i’m from CA too so I think i know a little bit about traveling across the country for school. it’s a great experience but i would suggest that you probably go to UCSC just because its a lot cheaper but the only problem is that it may be hard to get classes there because of the budget cuts whereas we have no problems with that here. if you’re looking for a new experience and culture, and money isn’t a problem, definitely go to BU. if not, stick with UCSC.

in terms of grad school, it should hardly matter so long as you keep your grades up during college
