I got rejected from Cal- 3.9, one year transfer, great ec’s and with all required classes done. I get that it’s a high standard of acceptance, but the only thing that confuses me is that I got in out of high school with a 2.5 GPA and the same EC’s and relatively similar essays. I know it’s a long shot, but I’m wondering if there was some sort of mix-up with my pre-reqs like what happened with emil and UCLA. But I’ve heard that the cal admissions people don’t tell you the reason you got rejected over the phone- is that correct?

Cal admissions probably won’t tell you the reason over the phone or by email, they had too many applicants, especially this year. Sorry. ): They release decisions on the 30th to avoid any mistake, btw.

@ Yunie, UCLA gets more applicants and they tell you over the phone- what gives?

Cal Admissions is really strict about it. Sorry.
