<p>Why most people here make its seem that Cal State are a worst school to go to? Same with UCR, Merced, and Santa Cruz?</p>
<p>CSU’s are good…but UC’s are better so if you could get into a better school, why not? This is the attitude I have towards the systems.</p>
<p>They’re really not bad, it’s just that they’re not distinctive. A degree from Fullerton is about the same as a degree from Sonoma. They work just fine to satisfy the employer college education requirements–e.g., you can’t apply for the job unless you have a Bachelor’s degree.</p>
<p>The better UCs are well-known, and known to be good institutions. While Fullerton would satisfy a degree requirement, a degree from Berkeley would greatly enhance your r</p>
<p>Don’t be fooled by the name anyway, a 3.0 from UCB might not get you any better job opportunities than a 3.0 from anywhere else lol. </p>
<p>So if you didn’t qualify due to GPA, don’t worry about it too much.</p>
<p>Yeah. I agree with @wwlink and the GPA comment. Certain schools (Yale, Harvard, MIT, etc) just open doors a lot easier than others.</p>
