Is CLEP Precal pretty much worthless?

<p>I am going to take CLEP Bio, Chem, and Precal this October. I heard that although CLEP Bio and Chem are valued, CLEP Precal is pretty much worthless…is this true? Is CLEP Precal is not really regarded as good CLEP?</p>

<p>I’ve never heard that before. Why have people said it is useless? That doesn’t make any sense to me.</p>

<p>I haven’t heard that. The only way it would be worthless is if 1) the college you want to attend doesn’t accept it 2) your Pre-Calculus class was already dual-credit with the credits being transferable or 3) you’ve already knocked out any math requirements for college with AP or other CLEP exams.</p>

<p>It is in no way worthless. A good friend of mine was able to stay in college because of his CLEP Mathematics examination.</p>
