They’ll probably take it if you order rush scores. When working in admissions they told us to relate to ED applicants that they could rush their Nov scores to get them in for ED consideration, so I imagine RD is the same policy.

(I no longer work in admissions, by the way. The pay for tour guides, bloggers and email answerers absolutely sucks. :P)

I agree with Kate-- if you can afford the extra expense, rush your scores- -don’t wait another 3-5 weeks (whatever ACT is running this year??). At that time of year in the admissions cycle, an “incomplete” file can actually and unfortunately be the difference between being first in line on the admissions decision queue (when there’s less stress to finish the huge pile of unread files) or last in line (when adcoms are tired and burnt out from the 15000 read and 10000 left to read). No Adcom would admit it openly, they are only human- -but clearly enough anecdotal evidence all over CC suggesting that the earlier one’s file is read in any school, the more time an Adcom can spend on it rather than at the point in time when the Adcom is down to reading hundreds of files per week (when 15 minutes becomes the alloted time to make a decision on a person).

Rush the scores.
Good luck with your next ACT --! Remember, they superscore-- so spend your focus and energy on the parts you are trying to raise.

Says preferably by November, but December is ok.
So rush scores if not going to drain your budget, not a bad idea.

Good luck!

I did December and didn’t rush scores. No point in rushing scores electronically. I got in and am currently a student at CMU, so no worries and good luck!
