I’m considering transferring to an out of state public school next year, and the tuition is definitely going to be hefty. One way I’m looking to cut the cost is to be dual enrolled at the university (University of Oregon) and a community college, so that some of my credit hours would cost a lot less. I really don’t know anything about this option though so if anyone knows anything about it, that would be great! Like how financial aid works, how many classes you have to take at each school, etc… Thanks!

Most schools won’t allow dual enrollment - the best you can do is to take summer sessions at the cc and the regular year at the Univ. of Oregon.

Actually, University of Oregon is one of the colleges that allows dual enrollment:

It appears a supplemental application is required.

Oh okay, I was going off of my school (UCLA) and many others I checked out.

Definately look through the website listed carefully. You probably can only take university requirements (writing, foreign lang, etc…), ge’s, and lower division pre-major classes at a cc.
