Is East Asian Studies an easy major at NYU if I already know an Asian language?
That’s kind of like asking if an English lit or history degree is easy because you already know English.
Look at the major requirements. You have to do at least some courses across all of China, Japan and Korea. There are only 2 out of 9 credits given for language itself, at advanced level, so even if you’re native proficiency there’s a lot more to do.
In general, are the non-language courses easy?
