Any comment is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Hope you guys have great stats!

Anyone please ???

Hey,

I think you have a good chance of getting in. You may want to re-take the SAT and bump it up to 2050 or higher. Another option is that you can take the ACT, which in my opinion is a lot easier. USC doesn’t look at SAT 2’s, but it shows your strong points in different subjects. What are you applying for? Do you think you can write a good essay? Don’t stress out too much about it :)

Have you decided on a major or are you undecided? I agree with the previous poster, give the ACT a try.

I realize you are an international student. Have you had any work history, travel experiences or talents which would help you stand out among other candidates?

Thanks guys for the response.

I’m applying to the Chemistry program in the College of Arts and Sciences. I think my essay is going to be somewhere between over average and great. The only thing that may help differentiate me from others that I could think of is that I spend 150 hrs picking up trash on the beach. Sure enough, I have some travel experiences because I’m international!

I was wondering if my decent TOEFL score would compensate for the low CR score. I don’t know if it’s still early to prepare and take the ACT now. Since the deadline is on December 1, I won’t have much time studying enough for the ACT to do well on it. And on top of that, I have loads of hw at school too!

buumpyy bump… anyone else?? Eager to hear from you all!

You might get in the spring semester! Many of my friends with similar stats did
Good luck!

You have a shot as long as ur not applyn for financial aid

10ninja: I’m hoping for the fall enrollment. If i get admitted for the spring semester, i will have to force myself to look into my other choices :)

Happybudda: well, i’m international, so i can’t apply for federal/ institutional financial aid. I can only count on merit scholarship for money aid if i get admitted. So yeah, i’m just gonna cross my finger :)

Since USC admissions is need-blind, it doesn’t matter whether you are applying for financial aid or not.

yeah, you’re right. It’s need-blind for citizens/ green card holders. But it’s unavailable for foreigners, unfortunately.
