Is getting an iPad recommended?

I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy an iPad for the upcoming school year considering the back to school deal Apple currently has. How would you say it compares to just taking notes on paper? If it is worth it, would the regular iPad suffice or should i consider a different model? Thank you!

This is under the prep school tag, so if that is the case - the best answer will come from your school. Are they allowed in the class for note taking - not all professors in college allow it and unsure at your prep school - just ask!

Yes. Contact the school. AI is being used by many schools now for note taking. It works well. But your professors/schools have to allow it.

Yes, my prep school allows tablets for note taking but doesn’t require students to have one! Apologies, I realize my original post was kind of vague. I’ll be entering as an 11th grader, and I’ve heard this is when the workload typically increases. How much of an upgrade would taking notes on an iPad be as opposed to taking notes on paper? I’ve seen some people mention they barely used theirs while others relied on it heavily, so I’m wondering if it’s worth getting one this year.

i have a mac and an ipad. i’ve found that having those two allows me to lighten my backpack, and keep everything important in one place. i can review notes from bc for mv next year, without having to bring my notebooks from place to place. when i put away everything in college boxes, i thought about how i may want to do some review over the summer, the ipad simplifies this process. i would reccomend both, but obviously its expensive asf. if momney isnt an issue cop

i see, that’s really helpful! thanks!
