Is Haas available to undergrads and is there an additional cost?

Is Haas available to undergrads? Can you study business at UCB without being in Haas? Also, if you enter as an undergrad, how does that affect your tuition?

Please look at the UC Berkeley Haas website for basic information.
https://haas.berkeley.edu/

basically, Haas B school for undergrads is a separate application process for upperclassmen. Tuition is the same. You can study for majors like Economics without being in Haas.

@TomSrOfBoston, Thanks for that. Didn’t see any tuition adjustment info. for undergrad but did for graduate programs. Ouch BTW.

Thanks @ProfessorPlum168 . I like the sound of “tuition is the same.”

yep, all part of the same school.

BTW, admission rate for internal students is around 30%.

Yes, I’ve heard it’s tough to get in.

it’s a bit easier for internal applicants rather than transfers to get in, but it’s all relative.
BTW, how did the overnight go for your kids? Any surprises?

professorplum168, We went to Cal Day and it was very fun. We toured Unit #2, Clark Kerr, and Foothill. The units looked a little like Club Fed LOL. I like Clark Kerr, even with the distance. The rooms and hallways were much brighter, the rooms bigger, and lots of grass around. That facility wasn’t built to a price point was my impression. The kids are doing the overnight on 4/28-4/29.

haha, definitely from the outside all the Units look like Club Fed…even Blackwell to a large degree, except that it is more modernish looking and more colorful. Berkeley definitely has their share of ugly looking dorms from the outside, that’s for sure. Won’t lie about that… I had a feeling you would like Clark-Kerr, the walk to/from school passes by some really nice mansions and neighborhoods, and is really nice inside and out.

A relative of mine applied as an internal transfer to Haas and was denied. The relative played a D1 sport for 4 years at Cal and was named to the “All Pac 12 Academic Team” 3 or 4 times. For sure, sophomore, junior and senior years. The relative’s GPA was high 3.8 or a 3.9.

It ain’t easy.
