Is having no class for 1 period bad?

Hi everyone, I’m a raising junior and for my 7th period I have no class, is that bad when colleges look at my transcript?
Thanks

Do most people at your school have a seventh period? For example, at my school, there are only two options for a seventh period class (Marching Band (one semester only; it’s the PE credit for Band students) and Musical Theater) and only one option for a zero period class (Peer Resource, an application + interview class). Therefore, most students only take 6 classes.

Yea most people do have a 7th period. I think I can ask for a class 7th period. I’m taking 4 APs, french 3 and physics, I was thinking that having no class will be good because I can do hw then do sports after school. I was wondering if having no class will look bad on my transcript. Thanks.

Your schedule looks pretty challenging so I think you should be fine. My older son opted to TA his seventh period and had time to do his hw when he wasn’t busy as a TA which still gave him a class on his transcript but no grade just pass/fail

Ok thanks

Can you take an elective like photography or cooking or something else fun?

Yea, I probably can. But I guess my question is does having a “no class” period negatively affect my transcript when colleges are looking at it. Thanks.

It will not make or break or application. Your schedule looks challenging enough. You might want to ensure that your GC will rate your schedule as “most rigorous” when filling out the Secondary School Report.

Ok thank you

I concur with what other people are saying, the 4 AP make for a pretty rigorous schedule. You should be fine :)
