Is Hillary still inevitable?

Hillary is a well educated fake who doesn’t have the likability that got her equally sleezy husband elected.

Yes Zoosemom, hearing that connnection loud and clear here in CA.

So who will be president? Huckabee doesn’t look like one which I think will be a problem. Romney has many of Kerry’s problems.

^ If the only thing one can use against Edwards is a National Enquirer alleged love child scandal, then I would say he is in pretty good shape after last night’s debate. ;)

I have talked to a few friends in NH this morning who see Edwards as a very viable candidate. I think in NH, there are still many undecided voters trying to decide whether they should vote for Obama or Edwards.

From a strategy standpoint, one has to ponder as a Democrat as to whom has the best chance to beat a Republican in the general election. From a strategic point, in the primary one would have to vote for the candidate that they see could beat Clinton and win the general election. At this point, a logical Democratic vote could go to either Obama or Edwards based on recent (post Iowa) polling. (Even though we now know that polls are useless…)

From a Republican standpoint, they are still hoping that Clinton will win the nomination. She is clearly seen now by many Republicans (as well as the Democrats) as unelectable in the General election.

The undecided Independent Republican leaning voters could vote for Clinton
in the primary. The undecided Democratic leaning voters could vote for any one but Clinton.

NH results will be very interesting !!! And the phone is still ringing off the hook with political calls to all us undecided Independents…

According to Meet the Press this morning, the two projected ultimate candidates are Obama and McCain. Pretty interesting!!!

sokkermom, I have to disagree with your assessment of Clinton (saying she didn’t directly answer any questions). Her first response was a five-pointer on tracking down Bin Laden. I thought she was very solid and concrete on anything to do with foreign policy last night.

Hill is toast. Edwards would lose.

Momof2inca, I agree that she started out with stating that she had a 5 point plan. But,by the end of the question, I couldn’t for the life of me come up with what the 5 points were. I think she lost count.

In any case, my favorite question was the one about “what regrets do you have in hindsight regarding any previous debate blunders”? (my paraphrase) The only one that gave a good answer, in my opinion, was Bill Richardson. It was one of the most humorous moments of the entire debate.

Actually Edwards answered that question honestly too. He stated that he would take back his earlier comment related to Hillary’s attire.

Hillary avoided the question and really said nothing.

Yeah, Obama skirted that question, too. Too bad, it showed the human side of both Richardson and Edwards. Everyone makes mistakes.

I’m afraid both Obama and Edwards will lose to McCain. So may things show how racist America still is. Really, will any red state go with a Black man? NY and Ca will, but a few more states and I’m afraid after that. I think we’ll have a Black VP first. How would Condie sell with McCain?

Also concerned about how much of Obama’s Iowa victory was due to the youth vote. Historically that doesn’t translate to success.

Neither me or any of my conservative friends would discount voting for someone simply due to their race or gender. I’d happily vote for a candidate of any race or gender as long as I think they’re the best person for the job.

As I said, NY and CA are unusual I fear.

Obama has opened up a double-digit lead on Clinton in NH, according to a just-released CNN/WMUR poll. CNN says he’s gaining about 3 points every day. I don’t think this is due to the “youth vote.”

…And NH is about as “white” as you can get!

ceebrown, I do not think that race will be an issue. The candidate himself has never made it one, nor should he.

Besides, he’s just as much white as he is black.

[John Edwards for President](http://www.johnedwards.com/)

I VOTE FOR HILLARY’S AS MOST PROFESSIONAL WITH THE BEST USABILITY AND GRAPHICS.

I think the Edwards website is just as impressive.

In the long run, I don’t think a candidate’s website has anything at all to do with anything.

Neither do I Sokkermom, but others do, who mentioned it to me today. I had never looked before, either. It is a way to gather information.

Actually though I’m currently leaning towards Obama - I hate his website - at least Edwards gives you the option of skipping past the donate money splash page so you can see what his stand on issues are. Hillary’s page is my favorite - though it’s ugly and too busy. I really think Obama should rethink - it’s very off putting.

mathmom, I think the Obama donate page was a temporary thing. I had never seen it there until this afternoon and it’s not there anymore. I think they were updating the home page for NH and they had that splash page up temporarily.

momof2inca, thanks for the link. Nicely organized site, more like what I’d expect. Though I’m not really a fan of splash pages, I’d rather be where I want to be with click number one.

I agree with you mathmom. I don’t think the splash page is there anymore though. Do you still see it?
