Is honors class very important in the process?

<p>I’m taking 4 cources now: math, chem, college writing, econ. There’s one honors class for chem but I didn’t take it because of time conflict. Will it affect my application a lot? Do I need to change my classes? The colleges I want to apply are among the most competitive ones.</p>

<p>No. A single honors class vs. zero honor classes really isn’t going to make a difference here. If it were a whole bunch of honor classes vs. zero honor classes, it might have a small impact. Most important is to get as close to a 4.0 as you can on whatever classes you are taking.</p>

<p>Your ECs will be a major factor in many cases, so be sure to appear like a well-rounded student by having one or two passions showing up as ECs.</p>
