Today at school, I was invited to a house party and at the party where there is drinking and dancing. I’m a college freshmen. I don’t know the person that invited me. Is it safe for me to go if I don’t know the person that invited me? Why would a random person invite me to a party? I kind of find it sketchy and strange to me. Should I trust my instinct and not go?
Always travel in pairs, leave no man behind, ever. Why not go? Just take a good friend with you and don’t separate. Is this person of the other sex? Maybe they want to get to know you better? Again, take a friend if you want to go, but DO NOT GO SOLO.
Trust your instincts…always!!! And especially, don’t ever go by yourself to such a party! If you do choose to go with a friend, make sure you come up with a plan-watch out for each other, leave together, get your own drinks, etc. Use common sense and your gut!
- Bring a friend.
- Neither of you drink anything you didn't pour yourself, and no booze.
- Your instincts are a gift from mother nature designed to keep you safe. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't right.
- Something my daughter's pediatrician told me when I asked whether I should head to the ER: If you have to ask, you already know the answer. Something about this doesn't feel right to you or you wouldn't have started this thread.
I agree with the above posters; avoid going by yourself.
Bring a friend. Leave with your friend. No exceptions.
Bring a +1.
