Is it a bad idea to list multiple reasons for the "why Columbia" question?

I’ve seen several people, both here and on other sites, say it’s usually best to explain why one or two things appeal strongly to you about a college in the “why” questions. However, I honestly feel like my response would be incomplete if I did this. There are so many reasons I find Columbia appealing, but I don’t want to come across as someone who just lists a bunch of stuff and doesn’t genuinely develop any thoughts about the topic, because that isn’t the case at all!

Sorry if this is a silly question. I’ve seen so many differing views on this, and I get more and more nervous each day.

I don’t think that’s a bad idea at all… as long as you are being honest! Truth is, if Columbia is your #1 school then you SHOULD have more than one or two things to like about it ! Good luck !

If you’re listing things like it’s in NYC, the intellectual and diverse student body, prestige of the university, then yes, it is wrong to list multiple reasons.
