Is it a good idea to buy iPhone when you already have iPod Touch?

(((10 char))

If you want a smartphone and you like the iPod Touch’s interface and the apps available then yeah.

What’s not a good idea is to buy an iPhone right now. Wait until June or July. Every year in June Apple holds a developer conference where they announce the new iPhone. Rumors are things like an iPhone with 4G capabilities, iPhone with a front-facing camera (for video chat), and an iPhone on Verizon. All just rumors at this point. But you’d have to be really stupid to buy an iPhone now when it’s sure as the sun will rise that they’re gonna release a new one in June (which usually starts shipping by July at the latest).

Yeah. Wait. I didn’t wait to get mine in December because the new version was still half a year away, but if I got one now I’d just wait.

Already got rid of my iPhone, though. :|

When it comes to Verizon (soon, hopefully!) I will be getting one and then selling my ipod touch. The nice thing is, you can have both - a phone and music - in one device. It just makes it easier in my opinion. :)

purple, risking flaming because i know the iPhone is oh so “amazing,” there are plenty of other phones that have a music player incorporated into the design. you do not need an iPhone for this feature

The reason I assumed he would have the iphone to use his music was because that was the topic of his thread. Of course there are other phones that have a music player incorporated, but he specifically asked if it was smart to have both an iphone and an ipod touch. My suggestion was that it was a good idea to get the iphone instead of just a regular, non music playing phone because it is nice to have only one device instead of two. As you mentioned, however, this is true with all music-playing phones.

It’s all personal preference! :)
