Just read from CNN:
“Fiorina rockets to No. 2 behind Trump in GOP field.”
I do not know why it is. But somehow if the US has a female as our President, I will not have any problem with it.
One way to guarantee that our next President will be a female is that the candidates from both parties are females.
The women have been “oppressed” for too long! (To me, not being able to be elected in the modern time IS a form of oppression - or at least being unfair to a a half of the population, even though it is far from the form of oppression that we would see in the Middle East.)
Also, if this happens, it follows the historic “pattern” in our country. African Americans could vote before the females. Now that we have had an African American as a President, shouldn’t we soon have a female President?
Please note that I refrain from talking about about the parties (like which party is “good” or “bad”.) I only talk about the gender.
Is it true that both UK and German have had a female as the head of their country? Why are we “behind” them for so many years? Why?
My wife once proposed a “theory” about this. (Quite a controversial theory.) She said the US is in general more religious than most countries in Europe. By and large, in most religious organizations, a male tends to be promoted to be their leader.
Just another wacky theory: Maybe it is because we play the football and they do not, and there is no female football team
