<p>i was wondering…if i get deferred, can i write a letter “why did you defer me?? is it because of my GPA or SAT score or essay…etc…or is it because if your quota system…etc…??” because i really wanna do that…i would really wanna find out the reason for my deferral…and fix whatever area was my weakest!! if they reject, me, i’ll write a letter telling them “i can’t believe you’ll rather accept people who are doing regular decision from my school…who would rather go to HYP than Columbia!!”</p>

<p>While sending a letter showing that you’re still very interesting in attending Columbia and have been working hard to improve your stuff is a good idea, I wouldn’t recommend the sort of letter you’re describing.</p>
