JUNIOR YEAR I took: AP Biology, AP English Lang, a film analysis class, a independent “Studio leadership” study for art, Spanish four, Precalculus,

I am a senior. Currently I am taking AP Physics, AP Studio Art, AP Lit, Calculus, Spanish five, anatomy&physiology.

I have two blocks open. For seniors at my school, typically people have 1-3 blocks open. I am the head graphic designer for Yearbook and the yearbook instructor wants me to do an independent study in yearbook, which would take the place of one of my free blocks, and would contribute to my GPA. Basically, easy A’s.

So my question is, is it better to have a block off, or take a “fluff” class, one that AOs probably know is just adding some padding to my GPA and class rank.

I am using my blocks off to do as well as I can in my other classes, studying, etc.

I am planning to apply early to Brown, Middlebury, or Smith.
