Is it better to have an awesome main essay and an ok supplement or vice versa?

Well, I’m DONE with my apps! But I don’t want to leave CC just yet. So just curious. The main essay’s the first one they’ll read so it gives the first impression. But if you mess up the supplement they may think you’re not serious about their college. Which one do you think is worse? Or do they have equal weightage?

Also, do you think an essay can be too short? If you’ve said all you want to say and don’t want to ramble. But again, they might think you’re not serious about college?

They do have equal weightage. You don’t want to be amazing on one and sloppy on the other.
Essays CAN be too short. Don’t ramble, but don’t just write five sentences either. Elaborate and explain, and provide interesting details.
Good luck!

And congrats on finishing your apps  now you can enjoy winter break :)

You should treat both as equals. Also, make sure each supplement adds something new to your application. Don’t be repetitive.
