<p>In short, yes it does. Credits transfer over smoothly and lots of the time the state has an initiative for state colleges and at time private as well (as the case in Illinois.)</p>
<p>If you have a state school or two, check it out. Illinois for example as the Illinois Articulation Initiative or something along the lines of that. ;)</p>
<p>im in CT. here, all of the comm college and state univs have credits agreement and some guarantee transfer.</p>
<p>Don’t let BC and BU fool you with their names, they are without a doubt private schools. I still stand by what I said, they will not take state residence into account in admissions decisions.</p>
<p>Transfering between public schools of the same state is very smooth as previously mentioned because they have similar course offerings and may have arrangements with each other.</p>
