Will the admission office even look at my application if i got 530 in reading?

Yes, they read every application. That being said, you will need a lot to compensate for that score though. They use a holistic method and do not toss out an application if it doesn’t meet certain criteria.

THANK GOD!!!
thank you for bringing a bit of hope in my pathetic life

If you haven’t taken the ACT, you might want to try that. The English and Reading sections are more straightforward than the SAT critical reading.

i got a 480 in writing 530 in reading and 700 in math…does the math make up for the low reading and writing scores?

No one can say for sure, but you are on the low end of the stats. I would suggest retaking SAT or trying ACT to increase your chances. Go ahead & put together a great app and give it a try.

On the October SAT test, I got 730 in math, 660 in writing and 530 in reading. Should I apply for Early Decision or should I retake the SAT in December and apply for regular decision?
However, I highly doubt that I can get a better mark in reading in December…

Why not email your admissions rep & ask his/her advice? It’s a good way to get a rapport established.

thts a good idea
sure to do that
thanks

wootyowoot

did you get with admissions? What was their advise?

You should take the ACT on December instead. I got 530 on Reading also, but I got 33 on ACT English and 29 on ACT Reading.

HOLY MOLY!!!
Im definitely going to buy some ACT books today then!!!
