<p>In 26 years of interviewing, I’ve never had anyone ask me that specific question. It is, however, a question I ask myself when I sit down to write up the interview. </p>
<p>There’s no problem asking the question, but I’m not sure why you would. I doubt your interviewer would answer ‘no,’ just out of courtesy. And even if your interviewer thinks you are, he/she’s not making the final admission decision.</p>

<p>That would be my thought as well. I don’t think it would necessarily be a wise thing to ask if you phrase it like that. Perhaps if you are truly interested in their opinion you could ask something along the lines of “so based on your experience, do you think that someone like me would thrive at brown” etc. </p>

<p>Ixnay on that question. 1) You should already have determined before you interview that you think Brown would be a good fit; 2) The interviewer is likely only to say yes; 3) They have no say over admissions and don’t have the bigger picture of the applicant pool or your direct competition that year; 4) It either comes across as a transparent way to see what the interviewer thought of your interview or it comes across as lacking confidence in a way.</p>
<p>If you are trying to figure out questions to ask her, if it comes to a lull or something or she asks do you have any questions, why don’t you ask her/him about their choices when they made them and how they’ve felt. Obviously he/she is a committed Brown alum so loved it, but when they were in your position, what were they thinking? Just a thought. Could be off base. But if you’ve done a lot of research on Brown, you probably know most of the objective stuff already anyway…</p>
<p>Maybe if you said something in response to a “Why Brown?” question, like “I can really see myself there,” then you could gauge your interviewer’s reaction. I think it also shows interest and really wanting to be there.</p>
<p>my interviewer came out and told me that i seemed like a really good match for brown. if you stood out that way, he/she is likely to say something. just my thoughts.</p>
<p>I actually posted the thread after my interview and I am just out of curiosity whether i should do so though i did not ask the interviewer the question~
i did respond to his question on whether i chose brown and i think i answered well~
