Is it harder to transfer than go from HS?

<p>Right now I’m still waiting on a decision on my acceptance. I graduate HS in May, then will have to take 4 summer classes at the community college to get my AA. I also have to pass all my AP classes and CLEP a math. All that is iffy, and IDK what will happen if I don’t get my AA before Fall like I said I would.</p>

<p>I’d rather stay at my community college for one semester. I’ll have more than enough credits to get my AA for sure.</p>

<p>The only problem would be, is it harder to get in as a transfer? And can I come in for the Spring semester?</p>

<p>Transferring from another public school in the state is quite easy compared to being admitted as a freshman.</p>

<p>It depends on what major you’re trying to get into. Some are very difficult to transfer into.</p>

<p>Depends on your GPA. It’s easier to get in as a community college transfer than as a university transfer, but, again, it depends on your stats and to what program you’re applying. For some people it’s easier to get in as a transfer because they have better grades at CC than they did in high school, but the acceptance rate is lower overall I believe.</p>

<p>Depends on if you’re trying to transfer as a upper level or lower level transfer.</p>

<p>Upper level = 60 credits. Significantly easier cause you deal with the college you’re transferring into directly. Theres a caveat… (At least with the College of Business), you’re limited in majors to that school.</p>

<p>Lower level is less than 60 credits. You’re racked and stacked against the incoming freshman class.</p>
