Hey guys!
Do you think it’s important to visit Cal if I’m already set on going there?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

Why are you set on going there?
.
No, but it says something about you.
Is it important to test drive a car if you’re already set on getting it?
IF Cal offers a program that is utterly unique to what you want to achieve, OR IF you have done all that you can to vet the campus and the atmosphere short of visiting the school BUT you are without the financial means to visit and absolutely cannot see it… I could somewhat understand those things.
But a blanket statement that you intend to attend a school sight-unseen is suspect and not recommended. If you are a good enough student to get into Berkeley, then you must have other options available to you as well. Some of those present opportunities might not be available to you as a transfer if you decide you are unhappy at Berkeley.
@prospect1 I see that it was a poorly phrased question. But yes I was referring to an inability to visit the school, however now that I think about it, it seems to be important so I will do my best to visit the school. Thanks for the help!
@ShaneBlakeEy, that is a smart decision. I could tell you so many personal experiences of kids visiting their dream schools only to wonder why in the world the school was even on their list at all, never mind at the top. No reason to wed yourself to a school without seeing it first if you can swing it.
