During the day I have speeds of around 2 mb/s when I stream video. At night I get like 100kb/s, what gives?

i noticed that when i was living in the dorms my freshman year… it noticeably slows down at night :(. i think it’s because many people use the internet at that time, compared to during the day when they have classes/work/etc…

Resnet sucks. The more people on it, the more noticeable the lag is. Its killed me some nights with MasteringPhysics/WebAssign.

invest some money for a long ethernet cable, it’s really worth it

Mastering physics= ALL MY RAGE I hate that program so much.

The internet is unbelievably slow at night it’s not just you. Most of the time I head to the library for a while if I want to watch a video.

Ya people definitely log on in the evening and it shows. Iv been told that people start to download torrents significantly slowing internet between 11-midnight after which the internet speed starts to improve.
