Is it just me ...?

Or is the practice Bio SAT II Test in the Blue Book EXTREMELY hard?

Not really, they were actually easier for me than the real thing. I scored about the same on the real as in BB

No, actually the one in the Blue Book is extremely easy compared to the actual. The practice test has really easy common-sense based questions and doesn’t require much knowledge outside of Barron’s, but the actual test was fairly tricky and there was some information that Barron’s and PR didn’t cover

Oh. The first matching set on the practice test really tripped me up because the PR book failed to cover all the plant parts.

The one about the embryos … don’t even get me started. Horribly written question.

Get Barron’s. Barron’s has all of the diagrams you’ll need. Seriously. I decided to go with PR instead of Barron’s the first time around and so I didn’t study the diagram of the eye at all… which may have contributed to the 690 I got (I retook and got an 800 thank goodness lol.)

But yeah. All of the practice tests I’ve taken for the SAT II were much easier than the real thing, and I agree. Sometimes I feel like questions are worded awkwardly.

I didn’t think it was hard at all, actually. Review Barron’s thoroughly (and Cliff’s if you really want an 800), and it’ll seem like a breeze. My raw score for that practice test was 79/80, and I finished with 10 or so minutes to spare.

If you can score 650+ on Barron’s, you should be set for a 750+ on the actual test.

I seriously flunked that Blue Book test. I want to chalk it up to the fact that I was drowsy during the test, but no excuses. Time to start raising Cain on practice tests.
