<p>I just finished watching The Family Stone, and it got me wondering whether it’s legal for two brothers to marry two sisters. Is it? Because it seems like incest to me…</p>

<p>anybody marrying anybody from the same family is incest. If Brother 1 and Brother 2 from family 1 marry sister 1 and sister 2 (respectively) from family 2, it is not incest.</p>

<p>On Oprah they had this old couple that married each other but then the husband had a sex change operation, and the wife decided to divorce him and marry his brother. All three live together now or something. It was weird…</p>

<p>they wouldnt be called brothers and sisters, but genetically they would probably share more than your average first cousins.</p>

<p>Of course it’s not incest if two brothers from one family married 2 sisters from another family. They are marrying in-laws, not blood relatives.</p>

<p>Indeed, that’s exactly what happened in my husband’s family, so he has double cousins who look so much like him that he has been mistaken for one.</p>
