Is it looked down upon to go to community college?

I am currently attending a cc and was chosen to get a scholarship, I am worried that by accepting this scholarship and being in the school paper/website that whenever someone looks me up on the internet they will see that I went to a cc and this will hurt me in the long run. I am being supported financially by my family so the money is not that important.

Thoughts?

Oh no, you were honored for your academic work. Horrors. They want to give you money because your intellectual prowess makes them look good. How will you survive the shame?

People attend CCs for many reasons. It’s hardly the kiss of death.

Community college is meant to test the waters. While the fancier schools are shown, community college helps in the sense that you pay to explore more options without breaking bank. It also gets rid of prerequisites.

If you graduate from a four year institution, it won’t matter to anyone who counts (grad school, employer).
